Habitat and Description: Habit erect, stout, robust herb; habitat in swamps and muddy grounds; annual; soil mud; flowers inflorescence compound paniculate, brown; month May-Sept.; basal leaves channelled, light green underneath; fruit brownish. leaf blades serrulate-hispid, stems smooth, imperfectly angled, 40 to 60 cm. high. Top leaves many, similar to basal ones.
