Habitat and Description: In shallow ponds and resacas. Habit erect, cespitose; habitat in shallow water; annual; soil clay; flowers are on terminal panicles; color cream to brown; odor none; month May-Aug.; leaves long linear, pale beneath, fine serrate; fruit brown, in panicles; bark green; roots fibrosus. Occasional. Infrequent. It is very robust and in large clumps.
