Habitat and Description: Deep sand savannah. Geology- Sparta Sand (Eocene). Associates include Aristida desmantha, Bulbostylis ciliatifolia, Coreopsis basalis, Eriogonum multiflorum, Euphorbia cordifolia, Froelichia floridana, Helianthemum georgianum, Helianthus debilis, Lechea mucronata, Monarda punctata, Oenothera heterophylla, Palafoxia hookeriana, Paronychia drummondii, Penstemon murrayanus, Polanisia erosa, Polygonella parksii, Quercus incana, Q. Stellata, Stillingia sylvatica, Stylisma pickeringii, Thelesperma flavodiscum, Triplasis purpurea, and Gaillardia aestivalis.
