Habitat and Description: Sandhill barrens/woodland; sandhill; geology- Montgomery Formation (Pleistocene). Soils- Bienville-Alaga (Psammentic Paleudalfs and Typic Quartzipsamments). Community dominated by Pinus palustris-Quercus incana. Associates include Aristida desmantha, Bulbostylis ciliatifolia, Crotonopsis linearis, Cyperus retrofractus, Froelichia floridana, Croptilon divaricatum, Helianthemum georgianum, Paronychia drummondii, Polanisia erosa, Stylisma pickeringii, Eriogonum longifolium, and Tradescantia reverchonii.
