Habitat and Description: Habit erect or ascending herb; habitat moist sandy ground; annual; perennial roots; soil sandy; flowers are from the summit of the stems; color brownish; odor none; month June-July; leaves are mostly on the stems; fruit is in a compact cluster; bark greenish; roots creeping. This species is rare in this region of South Texas. It forms colonies in sandy situations.
