Locality: United States, Texas, Jasper, N side of a tributary of Little Rocky Creek, ca. 100-300 ft. W of gas pipline clearing through Temple Inland pine plantations, ca. 3.8 airmiles E of jct. US Rt. 96 and F. M. 1007 near Browndell. Harrisburg Quadrangle. Elev. ca. 300 ft.

Habitat and Description: Rare in hillside seepage bog dominated by pitcher-plants and beakrushes, on moderate to gentle, mostly S-facing lower slope underlain by Catahoula Formation. Associates include Aletris aurea, Bigelovia nuttallii, Calopogon tuberosus, Dichanthelium ensifolium, Drosera capillaris, Eriocaulon decangulare, Eryngium integrifolium, Eupatorium leucolepis, E. rotundifolium, Helianthus angustifolius, Ilex coriacea, Juncus trigonocarpus, Lachnocaulon anceps, Lycopodium carolinianum, L. appressum, Magnolia virginiana, Marshallia tenuifolia, Osmunda cinnamomea, Oxypolis rigidior, Panicum virgatum, Polygala ramosa, Ptilimnium capillaceum, Rhus vernix, Rhynchospora alba, R. capitellata, R. oligantha, R. globularis, Rudbeckia scabrifolia, Sabatia gentianoides, Sarracenia alata, Schizachyrium scoparium, Scleria reticularis, Smilax laurifolia, Utricularia subulata, Viburnum nudum, Xyris spp.
