Habitat and Description: Culms sprawling, branched; locally common in moist sand on unshaded alluvial bar. Associates include Cyperus odoratus, Leptochloa fascicularis, Panicum virgatum, Persicaria lapathifolia, Pluchea purpurascens, Fimbristylis vahlii, Xanthium strumarium, Leucospora multifida, Ammannia sp., Bacopa monnieri, Echinochloa sp., Bidens frondosa.
