Habitat and Description:
An erect tall grass in small tufts. Open fields. Annual. Soil: sandy loam. Flowers are in terminal loose panicles. Color: yellowish. Leaves: linear, clasping, about 14 cm. long. It occurs in small to large patches in sandy situations in Willacy County.
