Habitat and Description: Locally common in moist alluvial silt and clay at base of unshaded riverbank. Associates include Echinochloa walteri, Erigeron ortegae var. spinosus, Iva annua, Juncus effusus, Leersia oryzoides, Paspalum pubiflorum, P. urvillei, Persicaria punctata, Phyla nodiflora.
