Habitat and Description: Occasional in silty clay loam Vertic Ochraqualfs (Verland Series) in heavily grazed coastal prairie. Associates include Amphiachyris dracunculoides, Andropogon virginicus, Aster subulatus, Aster pratensis, Axonopus affinis, Baptisia leucophaea, Cacalia lanceolata, Croton capitatus, Digitaria ciliaris, Eupatorium serotinum, Euphorbia bicolor, Euthamia pulverulenta, Helenium amarum, Helianthus angustifolius, Iva annua, I. angustifolia, Liatris acidota, L. pycnostachya, Lobelia puberula, Ludwigia linearis, Muhlenbergia filipes, Panicum hians, P. virgatum, Paspalum floridanum, P. plicatulum, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sesbania drummondii, Sesbania vesicaria, Solidago sempervirens, Spartina spartinae, Sporobolus indicus, Tridens strictus.
