Habitat and Description: Intermediate to deep open flatwoods ponds. Geology - Beaumont Formation (Quaternary). Soils - Jasco (Typic Fragiaqualfs). Associates include Aristida affinis, Bacopa caroliniana, Cynoctonum mitreola, C. sessilifolium, Coreopsis linifolia, Fuirena breviseta, Ludwigia sphaerocarpa, Oxypolis filiformis, Panicum hemitomon, Proserpinaca pectinata, Rhexia mariana, Rhynchospora cephalantha, R. corniculata, R. elliottii, R. pusilla, R. filifolia, R. perplexa, R. tracyi, Sabatia dodecandra, Scleria georgiana, S. baldwinii, S. reticularis, Xyris fimbriata, and X. iridifolia.
