Habitat and Description: Occasional on better drained sandy loam of Leton-Aris complex, on 4-5' pimple mounds and drier intermound areas within nonsaline coastal prairie. Associates include Ambrosia psilostachya, Andropogon ternarius, Aristida cf. longespica, Aster pratensis, Baptisia leucophaea, Boltonia diffusa, Cyperus spp., Eupatorium capillifolium, Euphorbia marginata, Gaillardia aestivalis, Gaura lindheimeri, Helenium amarum, Helianthus angustifolius, Iva angustifolia, I. annua, Liatris acidota, Myrica cerifera, Palafoxia rosea, Panicum virgatum, Paspalum plicatulum, Rudbeckia hirta, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sesbania vesicaria, Sorghastrum nutans, Sporobolus junceus, Tridens strictus.
