Habitat and Description: Occasional in shortgrass grassland on extremely shallow stony clay soils on +/- level ridgetop of Edwards Limestone. Associates include Abutilon wrightii, Acalypha monostachya, Acleisanthes longiflora, Allium drummondii, Anemone sp., Aristida sp., Croton humilis, Gaillardia pulchella, Galium proliferum, Gilia rigidula, Hymenoxys odorata, H. scaposa, Lesquerella fendleri, Lithospermum parksii, Nama hispidum, Oenothera triloba, Plantago helleri, P. rhodosperma, Spermolepis inermis, Streptanthus playtcarpus, Trisetum interruptum, Wedelia texana.
