Locality: United States, Texas, Brazoria, Brazoria NWR, Bluestem Prairie Unit; in upland coastal prairie with pimple mounds and shallow swales, SW side of "Chicken Road" ca. 0.2-0.4 mi. NW of its jct. with Co. Rd. 227 (this jct. is 0.3 mi. NE of bridge over Bastrop Bayou). Oyster Creek Quadrangle. Elev. 5 - 9 ft.

Habitat and Description: Occasional in nonsaline loamy soils (not Narta soils as mapped) in upland coastal prairie with pimple mounds and shallow swales. Associates include Agalinis oligophylla, Aster subulatus, Baptisia bracteata, B. sphaerocarpon, Chamaecrista fasciculata, Croton capitatus, Eragrostis curtipedicellata, E. spectabilis, Eryngium yuccifolium, Eupatorium serotinum, Euthamia gymnospermoides, Euthamia leptocephala, Iva angustifolia, Liatris pycnostachya, Linum medium var. texanum, Muhlenbergia capillaris, Myrica cerifera, Nothoscordum bivalve, Panicum hians, P. virgatum, Paspalum floridanum, P. plicatulum, Rhynchospora caduca, Sabatia campestris, Schizachyrium scoparium, Schrankia hystricina, Scleria sp., Solidago sempervirens, Spartina spartinae, Tridens strictus.
