Habitat and Description:
A slender, weak, tufted grass. Habitat: open ground and fields. Soil: clay. Flowers: terminal, fluffy, light. Color: pale tan. Leaves are mostly from below, linear, smoothish. Fruit is covered with long hairs. Bark: pale green. Roots: fibrous. It grows in colonies and is not abundant in Cameron County.
