Locality: United States, Texas, Red River, Along Pecan Bayou ca. 500-1500 ft. E of bridge on N-S gravel road not marked on Manchester Quadrangle (1951), ca. 3/4 mi. upstream from confluence of Denwiddie Bayou, roughly 6 airmiles SSE of village of Manchester. Elev. 410 - 420 ft.

Habitat and Description: Locally abundant in fairly mature deciduous bottomland forest in deep, somewhat poorly drained medium acid clay loam of Nahatche Series(Aeric Fluvaquents) on low alluvial terraces between uplands underlain by marl and clay of the Bonham Formation (Cretaceous). Canopy components include Quercus falcata, Q. alba, Q. nigra, Carya tomentosa, C. ovata, Liquidambar styraciflua. Herbaceous associates include Thalictrum arkansanum, Senecio obovatus, Viola pubescens, Geum canadense, Claytonia virginica, Antennaria fallax, Chasmanthium latifolium, Podophyllum peltatum.
