Locality: United States, Texas, JEFF DAVIS, On highway 118, 0.5-1.0 miles north of Davis Mountain State Park, on east side of road at edge of cut area and downward slope. Near a grazed pasture, at base of small hill.
Habitat and Description: Topography: hilly, 15-20%slope, aspect E. Soil: gravel, rocks, and red clay with some organic matter. Vegetation: open grassy area. With: Bothriochloa saccharoides, Muhlenbergia emersleyi, Aristida divaricata, A. ternipes, small leguminous shrubs, Salix, Juniperus. Additional notes: thick, strong, matty growth form with intertwining roots. Near a grazed pasture, at base of small hill.
