Habitat and Description: Occasional in sandy/silty soil in heavily grazed upland pasture dominated by tufts of Dichanthium annulatum and invaded by Prosopis glandulosa and Opuntia spp. Associates include Cenchrus ciliaris, Aphanostephus ramosissimus, Malvastrum coromandelianum, Paraietaria obtusa, Phacelia patuliflora, Ambrosia psilostachya, Pappophorum vaginatum, Helenium badium, Cirsium texanum, Oenothera speciosa, Chloris cucullata, Solanum elaeagnifolium, Verbena bipinnatifida, Caucus pusillus, and a minor host of other weeds.
