Habitat and Description: On the sea beach, sandy beaches. Erect or reclining annual herb. Flowers in terminal clusters, white, without odor. Leaves oblong, thick, coarsely toothed, succulent. Fruit a cylindric capsule. Bark pale green, roots fibrous. Frequent on the Texas Coast, mouth of Rio Grande to Padre Island.
