Habitat and Description: Several dozen plants in loamy soil in open forest of Quercus virginiana, Q. macrocarpa, Q. cf. shumardii, Ulmus crassifolia, Carya sp., Celtis laevigata. Other associates inclue Aesculus pavia, Symphoricarpos orbiculatus, Ilex decidua, I. vomitoria, Crataegus spp., Cornus drummondii, Stellaria prostrata, Oplismenus setarius, Arisaema dracontium, Melica mutica, Elymus virginicus, Allium canadense var. canadense, Malvaviscus arboreus var. drummondii, Verbesina virginica, Ranunculus hispidus.
