Habitat and Description:
At first erect, then drooping annual on open ground and fields. Soil: sandy loam, flowers in terminal racemes, yellow, without odor, open in forenoon and close in the afternoon. Leaves oblong or oblong-ovate, lobed, pale. Fruit a globose pod; bark pale, roots fibrous. Frequent in sandy soil in Willacy and Hidalgo Counties.
