Habitat and Description: Upper slope hillside seepage bog, geology: Catahoula Formation (Miocene). Soils: Melhomes (Humaqueptic Psammaquents). Associates include Burmannia capitata, Asclepias rubra, Drosera capillaris, Eupatorium rotundifolium, Liatris pycnostachya, Myrica heterophylla, Ptilimnium costatum, Rhexia petiolata, Rhynchospora chalarocephala, R. oligantha, Rudbeckia scabrifolia, Platanthera ciliaris, Xyris difformis var. curtissii, and X. scabrifolia.
