Habitat and Description: Upper slope hillside seepage bog, geology: Catahoula Formation (Miocene). Soils: Stringtown (Typic Hapludults). Associates include Burmannia capitata, Coreopsis linifolia, Drosera capillaris, Eriocaulon decangulare, E. texense, Lycopodium appressum, Liatris pycnostachya, Magnolia virginiana, Marshallia tenuifolia, Mitreola sessilifolia, Myrica heterophylla, Rhynchospora macra, R. chalarocephala, Rudbeckia scabrifolia, Scleria reticularis, Xyris ambigua, and X. scabrifolia.
