Habitat and Description: Mid-slope hillside seepage bog, geology: Catahoula Formation (Miocene). Soils: included in Stringtown (Typic Hapludults). Associates include Coreopsis linifolia, Drosera capillaris, Eriocaulon decangulare, E. texense, Lycopodium appressum, Liatris pycnostachya, Magnolia virginiana, Marshallia tenuifolia, Mitreola sessilifolia, Myrica heterophylla, Rhynchospora macra, R. oligantha, R. gracilenta, R. chalarocephala, Rudbeckia scabrifolia, Xyris ambigua, and X. scabrifolia.
