Habitat and Description: Acid seep forest and high hillside seepage bog, geology: near Willis and Catahoula Formations contact. Soils: Tehran-Letney (Grossarenic Paleudults). Associates include: Aletris aurea, Cynoctonum sessilifolium, Drosera capillaris, Eriocaulon decangulare, Magnolia virginiana, Myrica heterophylla, Persea palustris, Acer rubrum, Rhexia petiolata, Rhynchospora chalarocephala, R. gracilenta, R. oligantha, R. plumosa, Rudbeckia scabrifolia, Scleria reticularis, Xyris scabrifolia, X. ambigua, X. difformis var. curtissii, and X. baldwiniana.
