Habitat and Description: Mesic ravine forest below heavily burned pine uplands, in upper part of ravine. Geology- Yegua and Cook Mountain Formations contact (Eocene). Associates include Fagus grandifolia, Quercus alba, Ostrya virginiana, Carpinus caroliniana, Arundinaria gigantea, Carex retroflexa, and Solidago auriculata.
