Habitat and Description: Old-growth mesic calcareous stream terrace forest. Geology- Beaumont Formation below Fleming Formation. Soils- Mooreville (Fluvaquentic Dystrochrepts). Associates include Acer floridanum, A. negundo, Arisaema dracontium, Aristolochia serpentaria, Arundinaria gigantea, Carex cherokeensis, C. digitalis, C. oxylepis, Fagus grandifolia, Fraxinus americana, Ilex opaca, Lindera benzoin, Magnolia grandiflora, Trillium gracile, Melica mutica, and Viola walteri.
