Habitat and Description: Occasional in low shrubland on shallow clay (saline in spots?) on fossily slope of Del Rio Clay (Cretaceous). Woody associates include Acacia berlandieri, Acacia neovernicosa, Atriplex canescens, Castela erecta, Forestiera angustifolia, Croton dioicus, Diospyros texana, Dyssodia acerosa, Ephedra antisyphilitica, Eysenhardtia texana, Guaiacum angustifolium, Krameria ramosissimus, Leucophyllum frutescens, Lycium berlandieri, Nolina texana, Opuntia lindheimeri, Parkinsonia texana, Prosopis glandulosa, Rhus microphylla, Schaefferia cuneifolia, Tiquilia canescens, Yucca treculeana.
