Habitat and Description: Habit ascending tufted grass; habitat open ground, fields etc; annual; perennial roots; soil clay; flowers are on terminal panicles; color greenish; odor none; month Oct.-Nov.; leaves mostly from the stems, which roots at nodes; fruit covered with short hairs; bark green; roots fibrous. Occasional in open ground protected from pasture.
