Habitat and Description: Associates include Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Linaria texana, Pyrrhopappus sp., Eragrostis secundiflora, Evolvulus alsinoides, Palafoxia texana, Cenchrus incertus, Croton glandulosus, C. capitatus, Chloris cucullata, Heterotheca latifolia, Rhynchosia americana, Descurainia pinnata, Hermannia texana. Rare in deep, loose, well drained, non-calcareous sandy loam (Hebbronville Series, Aridic Haplustalfs), mechanically disturbed pasture grassland.
