Habitat and Description: Locally abundant in sandy loam over Willis Formation (Pleistocene), mostly unshaded highway right-of-way through post oak woodland on rolling topography. This population stretches discontinuously from 1.8 mi. N to 4.7 mi. S of this point and includes thousands of plants. Associates include Schizachyrium scoparium, Castilleja indivisa, Calylophus sp., Cacalia plantaginea.
