Habitat and Description:
Erect tufted grass. Open sandy grounds. Perennial roots. Soil: sandy. Flowers: at first a silvery color. Color: reddish. Leaves: are mostly from the base, rigid, narrow. Fruit: nearly flat, reddish brown. Bark: pale green. Roots: fibrous. Frequent near the coast of Texas, and sandy regions.
