Habitat and Description:
Rays white, fading to lilac; occasional in open grassy fire-maintained longleaf pine savanna on sandy loam over Willis Formation. Associates include late successional grasses such as Andropogon gerardii, Schizachyrium scoparium, Paspalum floridanum, Tripsacum dactyloides and Panicum virgatum along with 70 other herbaceous species.
