Habitat and Description: Occasional in open areas in mixed Acacia-Leucophyllum shrubland on very shallow gravelly clay on level upland underlain by Uvalde Gravel. Herbaceous associates include Acalypha hederacea, Acleisanthes longiflora, Allium drummondii, Aristida purpurea, Calylophus hartwegii, Chaetopappa bellioides, Chamaesyce acuta, C. cinerascens, Erioneuron pilosum, Galium proliferum, Gilia rigidula, Hedeoma drummondii, Lappula texana, Lesquerella fendleri, Machaeranthera pinnatifida, Melampodium cinereum, Oxalis dichondrifolia, Perezia runcinata, Pinaropappus roseus, Plantago helleri, Polygala macradenia, Psilostrophe gnaphalioides, Salvia texana, Stillingia treculaeana, Thamnosma texanum, Thymophylla pentachaeta.
