Habitat and Description: Abundant in shallow clay on level Cretaceous limestone upland on Callahan Divide, grazed Buchloe dactyloides-Bouteloua rigidiseta grassland invaded along margins by juniper. Associates include Erioneuron pilosum, Hedyotis nigricans, Desmanthus velutinus, melamopodium leucanthum, cenaurium sp., Aristida purpurea, Allium drummondii, Galium virgatum, Scutellaria drummondii, Brazoria scutellarioides, Stillingia texana, Thelesperma longipes, T. filifolium, Calylophus drummondianus.
