Habitat and Description: Frequent in well drained, neutral, fine sandy loam (Hanby Series, Udic Paleustalfs) over Permian sediments, constantly mown buffalograss-Texas grama grassland on level unshaded area. Associates include Bouteloua rigidiseta, Buchloe dactyloides, Lappula texana, Plantago patagonica var. spinulosa, Senna pumilio, ammoselinum popei, Teucrium laciniatum, Hedyotis nigricans, Heterotheca canescens.
