Habitat and Description: Known from Cameron Co. Rather erect herb. Open ground or fields. Annual. Clay loam soil. Flowers terminal - pink-purple outside. White rays. Flowering March-April, Flowers open 10 am, close 5 pm. Leaves pubescent, grass green. Fruit achene. Bark green. Taproot. These plants were protected by a clump of Chaparral.
