Locality: United States, Texas, Burnet, 50-500 ft. E of Park Road 4, 0.8 roadmiles N of Hoover Valley Road, ca. 1/2 mi. SE of SE end of Inks Dam. W edge of Inks Lake State Park. Longhorn Cavern Quadrangle. Elev. ca. 920 - 960 ft.
Habitat and Description: Connon in shallow, well drained, slightly acid, gravelly sandy loam Lithic Ustochrepts (Keese Series) among boulders of Valley Spring Gneiss on open to sparsely wooded W-facing slope and level upland. Associates include Allium canadense var. fraseri, Aristida sp., Bouteloua hirsuta, Bulbostylis capillaris, Commelina erecta, Coreopsis basalis, Croptilon divaricatum, Eragrostis secundiflora, Gaillardia pulchella, Galium texense, G. virgatum, Helenium badium, Helianthemum georgianum, Heteropogon contortus, Juncus marginatus, Linum hudsonioides, Paspalum setaceum, Pallaea ovata, Phacelia congesta, Plantago wrightiana, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sedum nuttallianum, Selaginella peruviana, S. riddellii.
