Habitat and Description: Common in deep well drained sand on nearly level to gently sloping roadside, in partial shade of scattered Quercus stellata and Carya texana. Geology: Carrizo Sand (Eocene). Soil: Eufaula fine sand. Herbaceous associates include Vulpia octoflora, Lupinus subcarnosus, Phlox drummondii, Castilleja indivisa, Oxalis dillenii, chaerophyllum tainturieri, Plantago sp., Lepidium sp., Mirabilis sp., Tetragonatheca repanda, Vicia sp., Psoralidium rhombifolium, Helianthemum sp., Rhynchosia americana, Nothoscordum bivalve, Dichanthelium sp., Lesquerella cf. grandiflora, Senecio ampullaceus, Linaria texana, Descurainia pinnata, Parietaria obtusa, Rumex hastatulus, Oenothera laciniata.
