Habitat and Description: Lat/long det. from mylar overlay on Port Ingleside Quadrangle. Occasional in moist, poorly drained, moderately alkaline fine sand (Mustang Series, Typic Psammaquents) in bed of natural ephemeral freshwater pothole ponds among Pleistocene-era relict barrier island dunes supporting live oak-redbay woodlands. Associates include Panicum virgatum, Stemodia tomentosa, Xyris jupicai.
