Locality: United States, Texas, Montague, Garnett property, ca. 4 mi S of Dye Mound on Dye Mound Road, ca. 8 air mi SW of Saint Jo.
Habitat and Description: Sandy soil over limestone, slopes and flats. Common associates: Yucca arkansana, Dalea hallii, Styllingia texana, Hedyotis nigricans, Echinacea angustifolia, Thelesperma filifolium, Dyssodiopsis tagetoides, Penstemon cobaea, Grindelia lanceolata, Heliotropium tenellum, Agalinis densiflora, Gaillardia aestivalis, Gaillardia pulchella. Liatris mucronata abundant but none yet flower. Liatris aestivalis common on rocky slopes, in early flower.
