Locality: United States, Texas, Tarrant, WSW part of city of Fort Worth, between Cumberland St. and Vickery Blvd, just N of Vickery, E of Ridglea Hills Elementary School. Publicly owned parkland (Ridglea Hills Park).
Habitat and Description: Open area of limestone slopes, with scattered small trees. Common associates: Yucca pallida, Silphium albiflorum, Dalea hallii, Styllingia texana, Hedyotis nigricans, Echinacea angustifolia, Thelesperma filifolium, Ceanothus herbaceus, Dyssodiopsis tagetoides, Paronychia virginica, Penstemon cobaea, Opuntia humifusa, Grindelia lanceolata; Liatris mucronata on upper slopes and not yet in flower. Liatris aestivalis abundant in shallow soil, in early flower.
