Habitat and Description: Xeric thorn scrub on limestone outcrops. Geology- Goliad Formation (Pliocene). Common shrubs include Acacia farnesiana, A. rigidula, Aloysia macrostachya, Bernardia myricaefolia, Berberis trifoliolata, Colubrina texensis, Diospyros texana, Leucophyllum frutescens, Prosopis glandulosa, and Salvia ballotaeflora. Herbaceous associates include Thamnosma texana, Bouteloua rigidiseta, Dyssodia pentachaeta, Gilia ludens, Lesquerella argyraea, Melampodium cinereum, Lithospermum mirabile, and Parthenium confertum.
