Habitat and Description: Loose sandy soil in open edge of woodland thicket dominated by Ilex vomitoria; opening dominated by Schizachyrium scoparium, Froelichia floridana, Sparta Sand Formation. Population with all plants having yellow lower heads and pale cream upper heads. Corms all globose. Common in sandy areas.
