Habitat and Description:
High hill; gravelly sand, reddish-brown, somewhat hardened soil; Post Oak- Blackjack Oak- Hickory association. In open areas with Schizachyrium. Junction of Carrizo/ Recklaw formations. Corms elongate-fusiform to elliptic; phyllaries varying from bluish to light-pink; one albino; plants to 5 feet tall.
