Locality: United States, Texas, Atascosa, 0.5 mi E of IH-37 on county road to Coughran, SE of Pleasonton and ca. 1 mi south of Atascosa river.
Habitat and Description: Live Oak- Mesquite area in sandy soils of the Sarita series; quaternary alluvial terrace deposits; associated with Cenchrus, Croton capitatus, C. glandulosus, Froelichia drummondii. Scattered but common in open areas and along fence. Phyllaries bluish-lavender to pink with one white phyllaried variant seen.
