Habitat and Description: Occasional in Wiergate Clay (Vertisols) over Willis Formation, blackland prairie opening in loblolly pine forest. Associates include Agalinis heterophylla, Aster subulatus, Euphorbia marginata, Eustoma grandiflorum, Heliotropium tenellum, Iva angustifolia, Iva annua, Panicum anceps, Prunella vulgaris, Salvia azurea, Verbena xutha.
