Habitat and Description: Common in sandy loam over Reklaw Formation, grassy unshaded roadside near hilltop. Associates include Anemone heterophylla, Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Argemone albiflora, Aristida purpurea, Bromus unioloides, Castilleja indivisa, Engelmannia pinnatifida, Gaillardia aestivalis, Hymenopappus artemissiifolius, Lesquerella grandiflora, Lupinus subcarnosus, Nemophila phacelioides, Phlox drummondii var. wilcoxiana, Rumex hastatulus.
