Habitat and Description: Roadside. Brown sand. Liquidambar complex. Assoc. w. Sesbania, Vitis sp., Ilex vom., Smilax sp., Quercus sp. Annual herb, .5 m. Bushy upright, wiry. Flower: yellow ray corollas, w. very dark red bases, brown-black disk florets, mild, resinous odor.
