Habitat and Description: More or less throughout historic park. Abundant, mostly in fruit, in sandy loam over Lissie Formation, on level lawn regularly mown except during spring wildflower months. Associates include Agrostis hiemalis, Bromus unioloides, Castilleja indivisa, Cirsium horridulum, Coreopsis tinctoria, Herbertia lahue, Hordeum pusillum, Juncus marginatus, J. cf. brachycarpus, Limnosciadium pumilum, Mecardonia vandellioides, Oenothera laciniata, O. speciosa, Phalaris caroliniana, Pyrrhopappus sp., Rumex hastatulus, Sisyrinchium spp., Spiranthes vernalis, Stenotaphrum secundatum, Tradescantia occidentalis.
